Suspecting \u201cintentional negligence,\u201d Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna\u2019s take on one assassination attempt of President Donald Trump had her scrutinizing the former administration.<\/p>\n

Messages seemingly conflicting with the video of the security perimeter at the Hinckley Hilton and the reality that an alleged wannabe assassin had come so close to endangering the president and cabinet members renewed concerns about measures taken to ensure Trump\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n

As such, nearly two years after the tragedy in Butler, Pennsylvania, which resulted in the killing of firefighter Corey Comperatore, as well as the wounding of two others and Trump, Luna presented her case that the attempted assassination may have been an \u201cinside job\u201d involving then-President Joe Biden\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n

During an interview for journalist Miranda Devine\u2019s podcast, \u201cPod Force One,\u201d the subject of the July 13, 2024, rally was raised, including FBI testimony under then-Dir. Christopher Wray, as she said that the shooter \u201cwasn\u2019t an anti-Trump guy, he was a pro-Trump guy. Well, that wasn\u2019t true. So, why do you think, still, the FBI has been very hostile to me after I revealed that information?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy is that?\u201d Devine reiterated before asking the GOP congresswoman if she buys into the FBI\u2019s position that there is \u201cnothing more to find\u201d regarding Butler.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what is interesting about the initial investigation is: A, it was done under Biden, period. So the Biden administration, the FBI \u2014 this is the same FBI, remember, that couldn\u2019t locate who actually owned that bag of cocaine that was found in the White House, and then also ended up destroying the evidence, specifically pertaining to the bag of cocaine at the White House,\u201d said Luna. \u201cSpecifically, what was interesting about the Butler assassination [attempt], and I\u2019ve said this before, I think that that was intentional negligence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raising her questioning of former U.S. Secret Service Dir. Kimberly Cheatle, the Florida lawmaker reminded, \u201cWe actually had whistleblowers from within the Secret Service that came out, that stated that, you know, they were basically not present or told to stand down at the actual, um \u2014 there was a group of snipers that were actually met that day, that was coordinated by the local law enforcement, and they just so happened to not show up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe area that was left open was literally the perfect location to take a shot and, basically assassinate someone. And then you have this aspect of the Biden administration that, you know, basically gave limited staffing to a former president with Secret Service, and everything that accumulated and the way that it was, you know, within hours of [the would-be assassin] being shot, and basically, you know, neutralized,\u201d she went on.<\/p>\n

Worth remembering, in addition to the concerns about Trump\u2019s security detail and how the location for the rally had been secured that day, in the immediate wake of the assassination attempt, Biden refused to refer to it as such, insisting, \u201c\u2026 I don\u2019t have any facts,\u201d despite assuring he\u2019d been \u201cthoroughly briefed by all agencies in the federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe entire scene was done,\u201d continued Luna. \u201cI never heard any follow-up from that FBI on what happened to the other burner phones, and also too, if this was just some random, you know, lone shooter, why did he have burner phones? What happened to his video game console? I mean, there\u2019s a lot outstanding, and I\u2019ve actually shared this before, that to me, that has all the marks of intelligence, and I believe an inside job. That\u2019s literally what I think is the ultimate revelation of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before the conversation moved on, the congresswoman made note that release of the investigation remained up to the president, who had said he was \u201csatisfied<\/a>\u201d with the briefing from his administration.<\/p>\n
