As reported by Fox News, the heavily-funded \u201cNo Kings\u201d protests began on Presidents Day in February 2025 \u2018as a backlash to the Trump administration\u2019s Department of Government Efficiency and broader efforts to shrink the federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was among the Democratic lawmakers who spoke about \u201ccreeping authoritarianism\u201d at a recent \u201cNo Kings\u201d protest, though she was seen warmly welcoming a real king while taking photos of the occasion.<\/p>\n
