Democrat National Committee (DNC) chair Ken Martin is facing backlash over his lack of transparency about the party\u2019s problems.<\/p>\n

After Martin took over as DNC chief last year, he ordered an \u201cautopsy\u201d to determine why the party got trounced in the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n

Yet following the autopsy\u2019s conclusion, he refused to release the report to the public, claiming that the party had already learned its lessons.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe completed a comprehensive review of what happened in 2024 and are already putting our learnings into motion. And we\u2019re winning again \u2014 even in places that haven\u2019t gone blue in decades,\u201d he said in a statement, as reported by NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn our conversations with stakeholders from across the Democratic ecosystem, we are aligned on what\u2019s important, and that\u2019s learning from the past and winning the future. Here\u2019s our North Star: does this help us win? If the answer is no, it\u2019s a distraction from the core mission,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Months later, Martin was questioned about the autopsy report during an interview Tuesday with leftist podcaster Jon Favreau.<\/p>\n

\u201cNBC News said that before Easter about a month ago, you told DNC officers on a call to expect an executive summary in short order,\u201d Favreau noted to the DNC chair.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like an autopsy on what went wrong when we lost the popular vote in all those states in 2024 and figuring out what went wrong based on a big report is pretty important for everyone to know. When can people expect an executive summary [of the autopsy]?\u201d he then asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been sharing those things out. There\u2019s no smoking gun here. And as much as people would like to keep focusing in on those pieces, what they\u2019re ignoring is that we\u2019re sharing out the lessons.\u00a0We have been incorporating those and we have actually been putting those lessons into action, which I\u2019m most proud of,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

His answers did not impress leftists in the general public.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow it feels like something\u2019s being hidden, which makes it way more salacious,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats are allergic to accountability,\u201d Sen. Bernie Sanders\u2019 former 2020 presidential campaign national press secretary Briahna Joy Gray added<\/a> in a tweet of her own.<\/p>\n
