Tiffany Henyard was allegedly a resident of Georgia while serving as the Democrat \u201cSuper Mayor\u201d of Dolton, Illinois.<\/p>\n

Henyard is seeking a spot on South Fulton County\u2019s District 5 on the Fulton County Commission in Georgia and is running as a Republican.<\/p>\n

Henyard was grilled over her residency during a meeting at the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections before the Fulton County primaries on May 19, Fox News Digital<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cDid you know that in Cook County, Illinois, to hold an office there, you have to be a resident in that jurisdiction?\u201d Board Commissioner Julie Adams asked Henyard. \u201cSo, you were the mayor until May 4 of 2025, but yet you\u2019re saying you became a resident of Georgia on May 1 of 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOK,\u201d Henyard responded, according to Fox News Digital, and argued her \u201clame duck\u201d status after losing another mayoral race in Illinois allowed her to become a resident of Georgia.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you were mayor, correct?\u201d Adams asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy title was mayor, yes,\u201d Henyard said.<\/p>\n

Heynard\u2019s weak argument apparently worked, and the elections board approved her residency requirement to run for the Fulton County Commission by a 3-1 vote, Fox reported.<\/p>\n

Heynard reportedly received thousands in gross pay as Dolton mayor after allegedly moving to Georgia, according to WGN investigations.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSuper Mayor\u201d has been accused of corruption and financial mismanagement. She had reportedly been living a lavish lifestyle as the mayor while the village of Dolton\u2019s bank account plummeted from a $5.6 million balance to a $3.6 million deficit, Fox reported.<\/p>\n

Folks on X weren\u2019t surprised to learn that Fulton County accepted Heynard\u2019s bid to run despite her extremely sketchy circumstances:<\/p>\n
