Earlier this month, KMOV<\/em> TV news in St. Louis reported that a female worker at an area Steak ‘n Shake restaurant was killed during an argument over onion rings.<\/p>\n

Her distraught mother spoke to KMOV<\/em>: “Instead of [soon] celebrating her birthday, I’ll be burying my daughter, for some senseless act.” <\/p>\n

A second worker was also shot, but at the time of reporting was expected to survive.<\/p>\n

Recently, a 20-year-old woman was charged with the murder at the drive-thru. She was being held on one million dollar, cash-only bail.<\/p>\n

The victim’s family and supporters were holding a vigil in the Steak ‘n Shake parking lot when it was announced that a suspect had been charged.<\/p>\n

The victim’s cousin said, “We will be pushing for the death penalty, not for revenge, but to set an example.”<\/p>\n
