Liberal comedian Bill Maher was not happy when a guest compared him to Laura Loomer.<\/p>\n

Speaking to his guests, which included Maryland Governor Wes Moore, NewsNation\u2019s CUOMO<\/em> host Chris Cuomo, and The Dispatch<\/em>\u2019s SCOTUS blog editor Sarah Isgur, Maher pointed out that he\u2019d rather be one of the people speaking directly to President Donald Trump than \u201cnot engaged at all.\u201d Isgur then made a comment comparing him to Loomer, an ally of Trump who also speaks to him regularly.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s it like to be targeted by the President of the United States?\u201d Cuomo asked Maher in a joking manner.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah, it\u2019s ok. I\u2019d rather be engaged than just not engaged at all. I think as long as he, because he has said once, and I think he\u2019s right about this, he said, \u2018What people don\u2019t get about me is I have no permanent enemies,’\u201d the host recalled. \u201cLike one day, you\u2019re out, next day you\u2019re in, next day it\u2019s like it never happened. I\u2019d better have it that way and talk to him and keep the dialogue going, because you know, I\u2019ve said many times, I think we need more people like me talking to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can hyperventilate all you want about what he does is wrong. I agree, it should not be a government by \u2018people are saying.\u2019 He should be home reading the briefing books, like [former President Barack] Obama did. But that\u2019s not going to happen! It is a government by \u2018people are saying,\u2019 be one of the people saying!\u201d Maher exclaimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would just like, yes, I\u2019m glad you\u2019re talking to him. I agree with your point, although the problem is, when you have a president who is talking to someone like you, he\u2019s also talking to Laura Loomer. And if I have to pick, I\u2019d rather take both of you off the map,\u201d Isgur said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy me? Why would you take me off?\u201d Maher asked, visibly confused at the comparison. \u201cWhat about me should be compared to Laura Loomer?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m saying we get the sane ones and we get the insane ones,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou lost him with the Loomer thing,\u201d Cuomo pointed out to his fellow guest.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, really lost me there,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll show myself out,\u201d the editor joked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll be back, you\u2019ll be back,\u201d Cuomo added. \u201cYou can work yourself back in. I\u2019ve been where you are right now. It\u2019s a little cold, but it\u2019ll get better.\u201d<\/p>\n
