MS NOW hosts surprisingly called out the left for positing \u201cdisturbing\u201d theories that the shooting at the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner was a \u201cfalse flag.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a discussion on \u201cThe Weekend\u201d of the incident at the Washington Hilton hotel in Washington, D.C., MS NOW host Eugene Daniels expressed his frustration with those claiming the shooting was staged.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing that I\u2019m disturbed by as we woke up this morning is seeing folks on the internet say that this was a false flag, that we are basically all in cahoots to do, to say that this was staged,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cAnd I think as someone who, for all of us who was in the room, who had to jump on the ground, who had to text our family and friends and tell them that we were okay, calling our moms like so many people in this country have done for decades, to see people say those kinds of things,, it is frustrating, and it\u2019s disturbing, and it shows that the issues that we have to try and fix in this country,\u201d Daniels, a former White House Correspondents\u2019 Association (WHCA) president, added.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Capehart chimed in to claim that most \u201cfalse flag\u201d claims usually were from the \u201cMAGA world,\u201d but admitted that more left-wing social media accounts were peddling conspiracy theories.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hearing that from my social media pages, from people on the left, also thinking that this was staged, that this was a false flag, that this was something being done on purpose. And hearing you speak, Eugene, if it\u2019s coming from the right and it\u2019s coming from the left, these conspiracy theories, it says to me that there feels to be a lack of trust in this country,\u201d Capehart said.<\/p>\n

Former MSNBC host Katie Phang was one of those posting after the shooting, writing on BlueSky: \u201cTrump is just lah-dee-dah fine after another alleged assassination attempt & he demands: \u2018LET THE SHOW GO ON\u2019. The \u2018SHOW\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n
