Last night, KTLA <\/em>TV news (Los Angeles) reported that the suspect of the attack in the lobby where the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner was held was a SoCal man.<\/p>\n

He was identified as a 31-year-old teacher from Torrance in Los Angeles County. At the time of the report, the FBI and Torrance police were on the scene of his known address. <\/p>\n

The event at the Washington DC Hilton Hotel was attended by President Donald Trump on Saturday night. The attacker charged toward the ballroom in a chaotic encounter with Secret Service agents, as guests dived under tables at the sound of shots being fired.<\/p>\n

It is thought that the shooter was a guest at the hotel.<\/p>\n

A Secret Service agent was shot in the attack, but he survived.<\/p>\n

Hundreds of journalists ducked under their tables during the incident.<\/p>\n

President Trump wanted the event to go on, but he agreed that it be postponed.<\/p>\n
