The hits keep coming for disgraced California Senator Eric Swalwell, with a new complaint alleging he was using his government office to boost his side hustle.<\/p>\n

The conservative watchdog, Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), asked the Department of Justice to investigate allegations that Swalwell, \u201cwas personally pitching Findraiser, an artificial intelligence political fundraising tool, to Democratic lawmakers, staff and campaigns,\u201d according to a Fox News<\/a> exclusive.<\/p>\n

Swalwell had reportedly been facing these allegations before multiple accusations of sexual misconduct surfaced, forcing the dirty Dem to ditch his bid for California governor.<\/p>\n

Yardena Wolf, who was chief of staff for Swalwell\u2019s obsolete gubernatorial campaign, is named in FACT\u2019s complaint regarding Findraiser.<\/p>\n

News outlet NOTUS was on to Swalwell\u2019s game in March, alleging fellow Democrats Adam Schiff and Swalwell\u2019s bestie Ruben Gallego were using Findraiser while Wolf and Swalwell were \u201cpeddling the s\u2014 out of\u201d Findraiser to numerous Democrats on Capitol Hill, one Dem operative said.<\/p>\n

Another operative told NOTUS that being pitched by Swalwell or his staff about Findraiser had been \u201csurprisingly universal\u201d in certain Democrat circles.<\/p>\n

\u201cPublic office is a position of trust, and no individual should be able to skirt accountability for potential abuses of power simply by resigning,\u201d FACT\u2019s Executive Director Kendra Arnold said in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reported actions using an official position to promote a personal business and potentially misusing government resources raise serious legal concerns that warrant a thorough investigation by the Department of Justice. Ensuring accountability in cases like this is essential to maintaining public confidence in government.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Swalwell\u2019s legal team nor the Justice Department responded to Fox Digital about the latest allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile lawmakers on Capitol Hill are legally allowed to earn passive income through businesses they own, House rules do prohibit lawmakers and their staff from using their \u2018political influence, the influence of (their) position \u2026 to make pecuniary gains.’\u201d Fox News reported.<\/p>\n

Legislators and staffers are instructed to avoid \u201ceven an appearance\u201d of using political power for financial gain, according to a 2022 House Ethics manual, Fox reported.<\/p>\n
