{"id":589994,"date":"2026-04-22T00:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T00:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=589994"},"modified":"2026-04-22T00:30:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T00:30:00","slug":"conservative-targeting-splc-indicted-by-trump-doj-for-fraudulently-funding-kkk-other-extremist-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=589994","title":{"rendered":"Conservative-Targeting SPLC Indicted By Trump DoJ For Fraudulently Funding KKK &amp; Other Extremist Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">Conservative-Targeting SPLC Indicted By Trump DoJ For Fraudulently Funding KKK &amp; Other Extremist Groups<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p>The Southern Poverty Law Center was indicted on federal fraud charges that accused it of<strong> illegally raising millions of dollars to pay informants in white supremacist and other extremist groups<\/strong>, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said.<\/p>\n<p><a data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2026-04-21_17-00-11.jpg?itok=40b-A6qB\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2026-04-21_17-00-11.jpg?itok=40b-A6qB\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"de997057-c735-4a67-a435-6cf3ed925bae\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" height=\"289\" width=\"500\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/2026-04-21_17-00-11.jpg?itok=40b-A6qB\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>An Alabama grand jury returned an indictment on April 21 with 11 counts of wire fraud, making false statements, and conspiracy to commit money laundering, according to the Justice Department (DOJ).<\/p>\n<p>Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/i4H6gQPcdkg\">said<\/a>\u00a0SPLC <strong>used paid operatives within extremist circles to incite and intensify racial tensions<\/strong>, arguing <strong>the group fostered the very threats it claimed to fight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThe SPLC is manufacturing racism to justify its existence,\u201d <\/strong>Blanche said in a statement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cUsing donor money to allegedly profit off Klansmen cannot go unchecked. This Department of Justice will hold the SPLC and every other fraudulent organization operating with the same deceptive playbook accountable. No entity is above the law.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A federal grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama brought 11 charges against the nonprofit, including six counts of wire fraud, four counts of bank fraud, and one count of money laundering.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment covered the years from 2014 through 2023 and alleged that the\u00a0Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) paid <strong>at least $3 million to at least eight informants affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan<\/strong>, United Klans of America, the National Socialist Movement, Aryan Nations-affiliated Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club, the National Socialist Party of America, and the American Front.<\/p>\n<p><a data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/New-Project-2026-04-21T173958.86.jpg?itok=FUnEjWLg\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/New-Project-2026-04-21T173958.86.jpg?itok=FUnEjWLg\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"9212746d-1324-4536-bc0e-34ba852dda85\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" height=\"667\" width=\"500\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/New-Project-2026-04-21T173958.86.jpg?itok=FUnEjWLg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a twist that no one saw coming, <strong><u>one of the SPLC\u2019s paid informants was a member of the leadership group that planned the Unite the Right protest in Charlottesville, Virginia<\/u>, in 2017<\/strong> that resulted in one death, according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cAs the indictment lays out, after SPLC paid members of these extremist groups, it created work product that reported on these activities that the members participated in or contributed to,\u201d Blanche explained. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAnd to that end,<strong> it was doing the exact opposite of what it told its donors it was doing<\/strong>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Patel said the SPLC facilitated state and federal crimes by funding these groups.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThe SPLC allegedly engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors, enrich themselves, and hide their deceptive operations from the public,\u201d<\/strong> Patel stated\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FBIDirectorKash\/status\/2046710156096864368?s=20\">on X.<\/a>\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThey lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups\u2014even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat is illegal\u2014and this is an ongoing investigation against all individuals involved,\u201d Patel added.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The FBI director accused the SPLC of using donors to pay the leaders of extremist groups to stage \u201chate crimes\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>They used the fraudulently raised money by lying to their donor network\u2014thousands of Americans\u2014to go ahead and actually pay the leadership of these supposed violent extremist groups.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Furthermore, our investigation revealed that the Southern Poverty Law Center\u2014on TOP of perpetuating this widespread decade-long multimillion dollar fraud\u2014conducted more criminal activity.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>They attempted to HIDE their criminal activity from our financial banking network.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>They set up shell companies and entities around America so that the financial institutions that we rely on as <strong>everyday Americans were DECEIVED in believing that money was NOT coming from the Southern Poverty Law Center in the perpetration of this scheme and fraud, but rather fictitious entities they stood up to perpetuate this ongoing fraud<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Watch the full press conference below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/indictment-alleges-southern-poverty-law-center-funneled-3-million-to-white-supremacist-groups-6015185?utm_source=partner&amp;utm_campaign=ZeroHedge\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But it gets even <s>better<\/s> worse, during an appearance on FOX News, acting AG Todd Blanche reveals <strong>the Biden regime actually closed the investigation into the Southern Poverty Law Center \u2014 even though they were paying people to stage &#8220;hate crimes&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nicksortor\/status\/2046731603599143192?s=20\">As Nick Sortor noted<\/a>, the Biden regime was directly involved in the coverup!<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">\ud83d\udea8 WOW! Fair said the informants risked their lives to infiltrate radical groups and the SPLC began working with them during the height of the Civil Rights Movement.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThere is no question that what we learned from informants saved lives,\u201d<\/strong> Fair said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep.
