ActBlue.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2026-04-21_08-26-07.jpg?itok=9tAKt17E\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/cms.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2026-04-21_08-26-07.jpg?itok=9tAKt17E\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-entity-type=\"file\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2026\/04\/20\/report-actblue-employees-plead-fifth-over100-times-house-depositions\/\">According to Breitbart<\/a>, the report released Monday says <strong>five current and former employees of the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue took the Fifth Amendment 146 times during testimony before congressional committees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Fifth Amendment protects witnesses from potential self-incrimination by allowing them to remain silent.<\/p>\n<p>The report titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/2026-04\/04-20-26-FRAUD-ON-ACTBLUE-PART-II.pdf\">Fraud on ActBlue, Part II: Illicit Foreign Donations and a Cover-up Sour Mass Resignations and Firings on ActBlue\u2019s Legal and Compliance Team<\/a>\u201d details efforts on the part of Congress to investigate claims of fraudulent donations to the platform and argues that ActBlue made its fraud-prevention rules \u201cmore lenient\u201d twice in 2024.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/2046340578460279276?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 20, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/new-report-reveals-illicit-foreign-donations-and-mass-resignations-actblue\">press release<\/a>\u00a0from the House Judiciary Committee revealed that the \u201cfive current or former employees at ActBlue who appeared for depositions all invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination during questioning\u2014for a total of 146 times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report makes clear that two ActBlue officials, one of whom formerly served as VP of customer service, and <strong>three of its former lawyers \u201cdeclined to answer a single one of the Committees\u2019 substantive questions.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Breitbart, the report also states that internal documents produced to the Committees by ActBlue and its fraud-prevention contractor, Sift, \u201creflect a fundamentally unserious approach to fraud prevention at ActBlue\u2014one that has <strong>left the door open for large scale fraud campaigns on Democrats\u2019 top fundraising platform<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Investigators also cited internal trainings that directed ActBlue\u2019s fraud-prevention team to \u201clook for reasons to accept contributions\u201d rather than examine them closely for indicators of fraud\u2014as required by federal regulation.<\/p>\n<p><em>The\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/20\/us-news\/actblue-employees-took-the-fifth-in-house-depositions-146-times\/\"><em>New York Post<\/em>\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0that ActBlue has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and, in a recent statement through a spokesperson, has maintained that it has \u201calways been forthcoming with Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An excerpt\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/2026-04\/04-20-26-FRAUD-ON-ACTBLUE-PART-II.pdf\">from the report<\/a>\u00a0reveals that <em><strong>\u201cDocuments produced pursuant to the Committees\u2019 subpoenas show the collapse of ActBlue\u2019s legal and compliance team in the months after the 2024 election.
